Dilemma

Post by moto15 » Sat Jul 16, 2011 7:51 pm

Dilemma averted, 1st day back off hols couldnt wait to drive the car so me and the wife went for a meal in Woburn when i came out and was driving home i noticed someone had put a card under the windscreen wiper," just advertising" my missus guessed, anyway roof down still nice and warm on way home loverly drive through the park with wild deers either side of road (took the long way back) when got back took out the card and someone had wrote "if you ever decide to sell this car would you please please ring me thanks Mark", anyway next day i couldnt resist ringing the guy, nice bloke and had a good chat i asked him how much was he prepared to pay after i told him the low miles etc £30,000 he said as he had specificly been after a red cabby so told the missus and was secretly been planning the next car, but she was having none of it then i thought what could i possibly replace it with??????? so phoned the guy back and his reply was that he was in no rush and still to ring him when i wanted to sell, he also told me of a grey cabby he did the same thing with and was told that the owner usually had a brand new car every 2 years and that they had owned the RS4 over 3 years and didnt want to sell as they just didnt know what to replace it with!! think that says it all

I think it depends on how long in the future you are planning on selling your car. If the answer is not for a long time - then keep it. If you think - maybe next year... then I'd sell it. It is never easy to sell a car when you want too!!

Your right wrekka i know when i want to sell it will be a struggle and i dont know when i will want to sell it, usually change cars about every 2 years lately, lucky this one has fairly low milage and we only cover about 5,000 miles a year so it would still have under 40k, when im not in it i think yeah its an oldish car take the money and run like DK says but when im driving it and everyone is always rubber necking at it and the driving experience of it i think not a chance no no
