Yeah, I see where you're coming from Ian but £25k is really the bottom line. The final reduction is because I have placed a deposit on my next car, it won't be going any lower!! At £25k I'm marginally better off than trading in, but at any less it really just isn't worth the hassle of a private sale.

I'm leaving my autotrader ad at £25,995 for a week, then I may drop it to £25,450 ovno for the last week, but just wanted to give forum members the heads up as I'd prefer to see it go to an enthusiast.

Great price for the car. Lack of interest is a sad reflection of the state of the market at the moment.

'Beat the px price' type sales on forums are becoming more and more commonplace. I missed out on one last year, beaten by another forum member!! Sensible to give yourself two weeks. The problem with an autotrader price of 25,995 or 25,450, you could well get bids of 24k (or lower) which would be a total waste of your time (and the sellers time) if the px price is already above this!

Oh and yes I cannot believe how much B7 [and B5] RS4 prices have slipped. Not even a year ago, an RS4 with this spec and mileage would have been £35 not 25k on an Audi forecourt.

Well done on the sale, sorry i didnt contact you last Saterday to view, decided i am difinatly after a daytona grey avant.

It seems to me you have to pay a premium for the grey as yours was exellent value for money in comparison to the ones i am looking at
