Sounds a little strange but...........peanut butter!!

Got this from a detailing forum a long time ago. Apparently it's the oil in it that does the trick...and it works brilliantly. Nothing posh, just the cheapest you can find.

Would recommend using sparingly or else you'll have dogs all over the car when parked :-)

I can confirm this works a treat, just don't buy the crunchy one :bigblink:

Can't you just use peanut oil? Using smooth peanut butter to touch up your plastic sounds like the equivalent of doing your make up with whale blubber :)

I splodge on some tyre-shine product which seems to work well, but does require re-applying every few months (depending on how often you wash it/weather etc).

I am using Meguiars Extreme Tye Gel at the moment ... And it smells of bubble gum!

I'm sure there are plenty more specific products out there, just for hard plastics and I'm sure a Pro Detailer will frown on Tyre products being used!

Zymol "Tyre" applied with a detailing brush, or Autoglym plastic treatment sprayed onto a cloth and then applied is all I look.

Yes it needs done about 3 times a year but that's no biggie..
