Post by steve_70 » Fri Jun 10, 2011 10:03 pm

Hi all :bigwave:

Though it was about time that my own car was given some attention and detail it ready for the next owner, as its going up for sale.

Products Used

Espuma G202 APC
MagiFoam Snow Foam
ONR
Iron X
Tardis
Blue Clay
AS Tango
Espuma Revolution
Espuma Fabricare
Espuma Fresh
Espuma Dasheen
Gliptone Leather Cleaner
CarPro PERL
Optimum OptiSeal
Jeffs Werkstatt Prime Strong
Jeffs Werkstatt Acyrllic Prime & Acryllic Jet Trigger as LSP

Onto the Pics

APC applied through lance

Foamed with AB Magifoam and left to dwell for approx 20 mins (yes, we decided to clean our other car at the same time :p)

Foam was rinsed and areas such as the grills, badges, door handles, window surrounds, wheel arches etc were sprayed with APC and agitated to ensure hadnt missed any bits.

Rinsed again and then washed with ONR.

Something must have happened at this point with the camera as it wouldnt read lots of photos of the memory card, so lots some steps.

So, all shuts cleaned with APC and got some AS Tango to try for these areas.

Jeffs Acryllic Prime was used to clean, polish, base seal the Body and Glass. Prime Strong used on Exterior Glass, chrome badges.

CarPro PERL used for all exterior trim, window rubbers and to dress tyres.

Wheels were polished with Prime Strong best I could as they have a fiddly spoke design. Wheels protected with OptiSeal, nice and easy as its WOWA and perfect for this spoke design, sprayed into the narrow spokes.

All Interior surfaces was cleaned with APC/ Fabricare and deoderiser. Leather cleaned with Gliptone, dash and plastics dressed with Dasheen.

Rubber mats with PERL. Here's a pic that survived

Engine bay/under bonnet cleaned with APC. All dressed with PERL, Prime Strong on carbon and a Acryllic Jett to finish.

Sadly it was very dull and overcast with spitting rain that I was dodging while applying the Werkstatt Acryllic Jett. Used the Gloss as a QD after the rain spots.

Max was the foreman of the job as usual, and quality control :D ....he has been trained to bark when I miss a bit

Great write up, Silver is such a good colour on the RS4, really shows the lines of the car.
