3rd July Double Meet - ACE & Beaconsfield

Post by HYFR » Mon Jun 06, 2011 7:04 pm

hi guys

a semi successful double meet this month down in Kent @ the Woodman and then onto ACE ... the weather and M25 got in the way

fast forward to the next ACE meet on SUNDAY 3RD JULY

1. the weather will be better
2. I propose having the earlier (pub) meet around Beaconsfield

I also propose, Shagga is our tour guide as thats his patch, at the last beaconsfield meet, he took us on a few good roads including a mental 2 mile strech of open road where you could open the taps

So, general vibe is meet at a tbc country pub c.2pm .... pub lunch etc, then head over to ACE which is only 30mins away

2. Mrs DK - B8 S4

OK guys,
There's a great pub in Beaconsfield called the Royal Saracens Head http://www.theroyalsaracens.co.uk/ but parking isn't the best. It's a picturesque little old town but all parking will be either on the main road or on the path (their car park). An alternative would be my local in Harefield, The Old Orchard http://www.brunningandprice.co.uk/oldorchard/ which again is a great pub, good food, loads of parking and fantastic views over the hills and lakes. Both pubs are a 5-10 minute drive from the roads DK talks of but if you want a serious scratch then I could take you from Denham to Dunstable/Milton Keynes on the A413/A418. Used to do those runs all the time on my bikes and they are 'QUICK'. Old Orchard to ACE is a 15-20 min drive straight up the A40, Beaconsfield slightly longer.

Now the problem. I have my football presentation night in Manchester the night before but not keen on going hence why I'm only 50/50.

If I'm here then I'm in.

3. Shagga (50/50)

That's also Festival of Speed weekend so some may be committed to that. I would but the wife is working that weekend so I have the chimps.

Good point P_G but on the plus side if we do go for a spin, a convoy of 6 cars would be easier than one of 20 cars.
