Re: RS4 Bucket Seats or not...
Then maybe you should have said "for me they are perfectly comfortable, but you must make up your own opinion" rather than making a simple "they are perfectly comfortable" statement?aka_dk wrote:im not, and im sure noone else is trying to influence anyone!

Re: RS4 Bucket Seats or not...
For me i had to have the buckets! It was on the essential list when i was looking.
I could do with more leg room tho and the normal seats i've sat in gave a better driving position for me as i'm tall, however more so in a cab the seats are what people see when the roofs down or when its parked up......... and they look the nuts imho!
I just think it sets the cab apart from other cabbies out there too.

Re: RS4 Bucket Seats or not...
All,
Thanks for all the positive feedback. I agree for the Cab its got to be Buckets so I am going to take the jump and go and see the car and try the buckets for myself.....
The reason for the post PD is that I have a dodgy back and I didn't want to drive 200 miles to find out they were unsuitable for me - I thought this was the forums were for....

For me they are perfectly excruciatingly painful. The difference is I said "for me", both our statements are opinions but you lack the good grace to admit it's an opinion.aka_dk wrote:they are perfectly comfortable

ownedrs4 - you have both ends of the spectrum there.
Then DEFINITELY try before you decide what seats you want to buy, and don't just go on our (very personal) opinions. Some on here have dodgy backs and find the buckets are comfortable, but some don't. I'm sure you don't want to end up with a car that has nice looking seats but which hurts your dodgy back so much you don't want to drive it?ownedrs4 wrote:The reason for the post PD is that I have a dodgy back
Style over substance - or a car you will just love driving???

Re: RS4 Bucket Seats or not...
As Dave says, the only way to know is to try both for yourself. However, the problem often is that uncomfortable seats only show themselves as such on a long journey. So, good luck with getting a 2hr test drive!

im sorry Dave, my 2nd and 3rd words in this post must be invisible to you ?

aka_dk wrote:also, my opinion is Buckets, all day every day
remember in a cab, they are on show alot more and look awesome and give the RS the special feeling it deserves
they are perfectly comfortable, i recently drove to Germany and the Scottish highlands with no problems whatsoever
They are also functional in that they provide the necessary support when pushing on
Also, to the OP ... have you considered mine, and if its not for you, I'd be grateful if you could provide some feedback as to your thoughts on it, as they might be useful in helping me sell

Re: RS4 Bucket Seats or not...
For us I'm happy not to have the buckets in our cab, we wanted understated and elegant so went for a dark blue cab with light grey leather normal seats.
As much as the recardos I'm sure are more fun and maybe practical they do look a bit boy racer in my view but I appreciate my views are old fashioned!

Re: RS4 Bucket Seats or not...
if your backside is perhaps a bit bigger than average, you might find the RS buckets a bit tight.
But i think the RS bucket is an integral part of the car, and without them, its not really an RS

Re: RS4 Bucket Seats or not...
I have buckets because I think they look better but if I found them uncomfortable I would have gone for the Recaros. What is the point of backache for the sake of style. Women buy shoes I am sure just to admire them not to wear because they find they cannot walk in them
Re: RS4 Bucket Seats or not...
I prefer the buckets,, like the boys are saying, they them all

So why did you also post this (complete unedited post quoted)?aka_dk wrote:im sorry Dave, my 2nd and 3rd words in this post must be invisible to you ?
One post was an opinion (which I respect), one was not.aka_dk wrote:they are perfectly comfortable

Anyway all that matters is that ownedrs4 gets an RS4 cab that he loves and wants to drive.
