Audi must have run out of A2 bodyshells to recycle when they put the cab into production hence the steel bonnet and wings...

The Cab has a different bonnet, the side section that sits next to the wing seems to be a lot beefier than the Avant/saloon version.
While the bonnet isn't load bearing, it is fixed to the scuttle and the slam panel and I suspect the bodyflex could potentially distort an alu bonnet over time especially as the shell gets older.

Fridge magnet test done on my Avant and it passed :)

Good point. The Cab does not have the horizontal line (suage line) going around the body work either.

Cab owners.... don't forget to remove all your magnets before you set off..... or they'll be even slower ;-)

Ill try, phoned a mate who knows them all at millteck recons he can get me about 40% off list but will have to fit it myself he is bringing a Millteck catalog round tonight to choose, i want it valved though so not too drooney at low constant throttle but sounds good with the valves open, whats the best combo for this situation? then i want it re-mapped to account for the heavier bonnet and wings ha ha! :D

I would say get Valve Non-res, but you will get some resonance at low revs (mostly 30mph city driving 1800-2100 rpm range). Having the resonated section will eliminate most of this, but will loose out on the fabulous noise.
