Car bogging down

Post by blelock » Tue May 17, 2011 9:42 pm

Tonight I was out for a blast. Under hard acceleration between 1st and 2nd the engine bogged down. I rev'd the car to 8000 rpm in first and after letting the clutch out when changed to 2nd the engine bogged down before the revs picking up again!

Any ideas?

Its could be the TC kicking in - try it with traction control switched off.

Definnitely the Traction Control :) used to happen me all the time and thought it was the clutch or carbon issue.... Thank god it was the TC. it has two settings push it once to turn off partially (blinking lights)
push the button for more than 5 secs and light stays steady fully off !

Enjoy your rs4 ;)
