I've never been so insulted!!

Post by DazN » Wed May 11, 2011 11:58 am

Pulled up outside the pub to drop a mate off, a few other mates were outside so I gave it some rice when I set off. The roaring v8 sounded superb!

Later that night I saw one of the lads who'd been sat outside and he said "I saw you earlier showing off in your S-line", WHAT? I corrected him and explained it's an RS!!

Not been that insulted since a Porsche Boxster attempted to race me :-)

Eh I have been told worse..... walking back to my car after paying for petrol and a lad pulls in with a White TDi, dropped, 18' replicas, RS4 badges across from the TDi badges etc....

His mate get out of the car and says that its nicer in white. I said that the colour doesnt really matter, I prefer a real RS4 than a replica.... hes mate said 'sure theres f**k all difference mate, about 20bhp standard, sure hes got his remaped, recon he would stomp ya in a race!'

I just smiled and got into the car, S button on and left in a cloud of V8 fumes....

Nice!

How about a VTS trying to race an RS4??...cant complain really about the neivity of the young uns as I used to have a baby VTR

Still for me....nothing more satisfying than embarrassing a 355 Ferrari at the lights and YES he was trying

The amount of Replicas TDi's floating about over here is CRAZY, I recon I see at least 1 a day! I do enjoy explaining to people that it isnt a very good replica but the real deal. Most people like the look of them, car people know exactly what it is and just say nice car ;)

Cars having a go can be fun too, coming back from Wicklow 2 weeks ago, a Octavia vRS wouldnt leave me alone when we hit the motorway. I enjoy burning them, returning to the speed limit and as they catch up just letting them pass with a grin!

Every time I get a phone call from either an Audi dealer or Audi UK they ask me about my "A4" and always seem VERY surprised when I immediately say I don't have an A4, I have an RS4.

If Audi get it wrong then we have to expect "Joe Public" to get it wrong too.

Had my car in the dealership and at the top of the job sheet read 'RS4 5dr Avant 2.7 V6 Quattro'... and it's a sedan! :)

when you collected it you should have asked for the Service manager and DEMANDED to know what they had done with your Avant .. !

Then insisted they stick the "bigger boot back on" :audibash:

Glasgow Audi usually refer to mine as a V6 twin turbo too, I just can't be bothered arguing...
They also sent me an MOT reminder for my A2, which is of course my S2.
Dear lord......

In my pre RS days my wife has had Numerous Boxsters .. I had a Cayenne and was on the pre interest list for the Panamera

Porsche could never handle both of us on their system ..

So Sue was invited (and of course went to) the Panamera launch and play day at Silverstone .. not me as the potential buyer .. was just funny to us .. I'd decided to get the RS6 anyway.. so she got a great fun day

I get called every year to tell me "my Boxster" is due a service .. I just say .. call my wife its hers, phone number is XXXXXX please update your records please .....again ....

Now Audi always used to have a problem as I used to move my plate across from car to car ..... their solution was to add a DOT to the reg on their records

so I'd call the car in for service and say "Reg W121 XXX Dot Dot .. i think its only 2 Dots not 1 .. one dot was the A6 2.7 .. the 2 Dots was the Biturbo .... is this the 2 dotta ???"
