Who to use?

Post by Fatneck73 » Mon May 09, 2011 9:35 pm

All

I've recently brought my RS6 and am trying to read up on here, as much as poss...but one thing I cant' find is 'who to use' for XYZ. There seems to be a few regular mentions but on the threads I've read, the recommendations are very old so I wondered if these still stood or the individuals had moved on???

So, who do you use to look after your car? I'm in Essex so going to MRC for a dyno run and a once over...and possibly/probably a stage 1 plus upgrade but who else is about???

Cheers,

Strewth...that's miles away. Good reason for a drive in the car though I guess. Many thanks el_ringo. Any more/others?

A whizz round the M25 to Kim Collins at QST is another option...bit closer than Unit 20!

I use Amd Technik near Dartford, but went to Camberley Audi for the DRC repair.

QST= good, MTM, but £££££$$$$$$$$$$$ even for MTM (Kims boat habbit i reckon- lol)
MRC= excellent, their reputaion preceeds them.
Unit20= the only place my car ever went, from Cornwall, for every thing, even servicing, started with Grizz and Lee and stuck with them, they always went the extra mile for me personally and made the barge what it was at the time. Cannot recomend then enough.
Audi..... robbing useless cnuts ( all of them in my experience- and i have experienced a few but not camberely!!) makes my skin crawl to pay audi £110 per hour for a half assed job when you can get it done better for half the price.
But, all apart from Garth road centre (woody) in Moredon i think, who is also excellent i cannot pass comment good or bad on other providers. All i can tell you is if you go to MRC or Unit 20, you will never have cause to complain.
It's all Bollox.
Half of what you read is bull and the other half is all <beep>.

MRC or Unit 20 were the ones that I kept reading about...but as I put, the posts were old.

All...thanks very much for your replies. It's very reassuring to have your recommendations and to know that MRC/Unit 20 are still the ones you'd recommend (as well as the others).

Very much apprecaited.

Have always taken my car to MRC for it's service and they've been excellent thus far. Been using them now for the past 3 years and never had any complaints. Very professional bunch.
