Boot opening issues

Hi,

I've encountered a strange problem whilst attempting to open the boot.

The switch in the drivers door and the switch on the actual boot lid has stopped working, but the key fob still works fine.

Anyone else encountered this? (S4 B7 Saloon)

Maybe unplug the battery? reset the ecu? If so will this wipe any rns-e settings?

mine has never worked, just assumed it was an option and mine didnt have it?

Mine wont open at all and I have bulb out error on the dash for left and right fog lights and number plate light.
Ever get to the problem?

Have you checked the fuses, both the switch on the door and on the tailgate work fine on my B7 Avant.

Sounds like a wiring issue to the tailgate. In the roof hinges under plastic covers the wires are ducted inside the hinges, have a look and check for signs of wear or shorts (if you can open it that is!)
