Trip to Aldershot Nissan HPC (pic heavy)

Post by Danbo » Mon Mar 07, 2011 10:59 pm

Today I had the pleasure of accompanying my brother in law to the Nissan High Performance Centre in Aldershot to pick up his brand new 2011 GTR.

Image

The spec is as follows:

One 2011 Nissan GTR
Gunmetal Grey
GTR Mats
Reversing Camera
Standard Seats

And thats it! There really are not many options to choose from when you buy a GTR! Almost everything comes as standard!

First (as this is an Audi Forum) we looked at the nicest car at the place! ;)

But then we moved on to what we had come for!

Few random pictures of cars around the dealership

Then away from the dealer, a sedate run home due to the GTR needing 1200 miles of running in at under 3500 revs and then a few pictures of both cars together. Excuse the poor light it was getting dark!

Following this I got to have a 20 min drive of the GTR! Even though I couldn't use many revs the car felt lovely to drive. I look forward to when it is run in as I have been promised another go! Can't wait!

The final pics back at the ranch!

Both cars got a huge amount of interest on the drive home! Was very good fun! :)

Hope you enjoyed this.

Very nice - didn't realise how big the GTR is compared to the RS4!

Lovely GTR - fab colour for it too!!

Shame Nissan haven't figured out it's worth having a proper handover area - I'd be pretty pissed to go and collect my brand new £70k car and found it parked outside wedged between a couple of others.......

Yes that was a bit of a shame! And even the salesman commented on it. I guess it will take Nissan a while to adapt their premises to suit! The GTR is proving popular it seems, this dealer alone has sold 7 of the 2011 versions already which for an out of the way such as Aldershot seems pretty good!

Aldershot is a pretty good dealership these days. Used to be rotten ... I've bought 2x 350z's form them over the past 6 years. The sales chap Guy is a top bloke... not sure about the rest of them ... they change around so fast.

Anyway - Love the GTR and always wanted to upgrade to one from the 350 -but it was a step to far at the moment. Don't get me wrong - I have no regrets with my move to the RS4. Loving every second of it and have always aspired to owning a V8 :bigblink:

congrats in the purchase....

That's not a ranch - it's fu*king Southfork!

Much as I love the GTR, the RS (especially this one, with perfect finish) looks even better...
