I've heard some exhausts on M5s that start off with lovely bass low down and then they change to a metallic howl as the revs rise, so it is possible to have the best of both.

The one in the OP sounds terrible though. It doesn't matter how much it costs: it sounds tinny and cheap. What a waste. :(

I have a milltek cat back on my m3 and it's fab as I have lost the bumble bee in a jam jar sound but gained some burble and pops in it's place 8)

Sounds Ridiculous to me. An M5 sports sedan should not sound like that. But then again I'm used to the deep Rumble of a Full Catless Non Resonated Milltek....................
