Another good job Steve....you must be getting nearer to having this sorted as your main occupation now? :D Glad to see you've got yourself a new camera as well...I'm sure mine would have looked even better with that new bit of kit!

Steve - is Iron X good for just using on wheels - I have some stubborn tar type marks I cant get off my wheels? i dont want to do my whole car with it as I cant be arsed to reseal it just yet

In a word No for Tar, Yes for baked on stubborn Brake dust.

Its one of my secret weapons for wheels now. Due to its intended use to remove metal filings and iron contaminants in paint, it is perfect for cleaning wheels/ calipers.

However it is only going to remove non-organic contaminants and not organic such as Tar.

For Tar the most common remover if Autosmart Tardis (Tar dissolver), alternatively I sometimes use White Spirit, but test on a test area first as it could lift laquer/ smart repairs. If you want to try something of the shelf from a motor-factors then auto-glym Tar remover is good stuff.

White spirit works a treat as does petrol but has its obvious risks! Have some tardis but not tried it yet but im homebound in a few hours and the RS4 is penciled in for a days pre summer prep
