I've reworked the very complete data collection of Jani on Mobile.de (it also includes date of first registration, date of ad publication, tuning options, etc.) with his computation model for a Pricing Formula for used RS4s in Germany.
I've kept only the cars with mileage between 15,000km and 100,000km, for a total of 114 cars offered for sale in February 03.
Here is the updated chart.
The Pricing Formula is :
Price (in EUR) = - 0.2058 * X + 60976
where X is the car mileage in km
This would give you the price to ask if you want to be perfectly in the average market on Mobile.de, based on mileage solely.
Examples:
- for a 35,000km car : 53,773 EUR
- for a 80,000km car : 44,512 EUR
Please note this formula uses asked prices, not actual transaction prices. So there's indeed a small probability that the price estimate remains slightly above actual transaction agreements.

Re: Little story about RS4 residuals ...
Nice work,
my idea has been that exactly. Further modifications could be more accurate data of equipment, but my experience is that those don't affect price a lot, and make data collection even more laborous.
Feel free to distribute the datasheet, but if you make some massive improvements, I want I copy too.

Re: Little story about RS4 residuals ...
No prob but frankly you did all the work already.
I've just added an online Calculator here : http://forums.rs246.com/forums/showflat ... 3#Post4343
I can give you the code no prob, but it's just a tweaked French Francs to Euro calculator

Re: Little story about RS4 residuals ...
Impressive! According to this my car is stil worth more than I was expecting, even in the inflated Australian market!
