100+ insane! Who'd have thought the French would get the best octane fuel...
In Germany V-power is 100 octane, but I always preferred Aral 100 as it was just...better. Whilst a bit cheaper too. Recently Aral have started rating it at 102 RON. Sounds about right from experience if the Shell is 100. And the 102 is still cheaper than V-power.

So I always go for Aral in Germany, its the best quality stuff out there. There is a pump near the Nordschleife too.

I think I would lose the saving by driving out to Germany to fill up, I will stick to V power in England and get my points as they make prizes or money off the next fill up

So that's (give or take) €10 per fill up... so how much will engine damage cost you?
I must be missing the point here. I fill up with V-bastard or Tesco 99, ONLY. Yo 'all do what you want.

In Germany they have VPower Racing ... 102octane

When I was there in 2009 it was 1.50e a litre!! That made for an expensive road trip!!

Then they shouldnt diplay ron 95 on the innerside of the fuelfill cover...

Like I said, it's your car, do as you please. If you damage your engine using 95 RON then that sticker inside the filler flap isn't going to rebuild your motor for you.
If fact, that sticker is useless, I'm going to rip it out to save some weight and get better MPG.

But how can i say if i put 98 in my car, if its really 98, i cant control it, i think there are stations which make a profit of that saying its 98 but actually it is maybe just 95 while paying for the more expensive 98...

We will never know.

It's all Bollox.
