Should I come back now or later?

I know what the answers going to be but i thought I'd post on here as I've not been 246 posting for ages.

I'm looking at another RS6 again, but the one car I've always wanted is a Cerbera and I'm thinking should I make the Cerbera choice this time.

I've always wanted a Cerbera too - well, ever since the Clarkson drag race where it whooped everything...
I followed one home last night on the motorbike and could feel its exhaust through my bones.
Whilst I'm sure they are poo and won't be as reliable as the 6 I still want one.
Do it - you only live once, and when its out of the system, get the 6...

Or maybe see if you can try one? Sure there must be rents somewhere - just to see whether you could live with it.

Funny, i posted the same thing on TVR246.com....... they said the same thing about Audi

I wouldn't use the word crap but they're not an every day car.

I think I'll be in an other RS6 soon and the Cerbera will have to wait, unless the right Cerbera turns up before the perfect RS6...................?

You're right though, twice now I've been to a local TVR showroom with the deposit and changed my mind before getting there.

Driven several over the last 10 years as this is how long I've wanted one.

We'll see....................

Ones a flashy bonkers sports car and the other.......................

a (reasonably) stealthy bonkers estate car...........

It would depend on what you want it for......

If I lived near a racetrack then the TVR as it would be a much better car to thrash around a circuit on a regular basis.......

If you need to use it as a daily driver (and so long as you have a reasonable distance to travel to work to warm it up) then the 6 wins for me as I wouldn't want people to be staring at the car or me (its bad enough what with the hump and all the other deformities)..................

Get one, get one, get one.
A friend of someone who lives in my street has one and every other weekend he has a nice little cruise down. I would love one, it will break down but what car doesn't. Ok, it will break down for longer than it will be running BUT that sound is awesome and they look stunning.
Like they say, you only live once. Own it for a couple of months then sell it if you want

Mate of mine had one in white.
It broke down a lot, and I mean A LOT.
It was stuck to gether with grip fill and fitted where it touched.
It was the most uncomfortable car that I have ever been in.
Nothing worked.... much.
BUT.........
IT.
WAS.
FECKIN.
AWESOME!!!!!
I loved it, the noise, the drama, and the speed. The feeling at 160 that something is going to break and i am going to die,....... and it doesnt is beyond compare.
Do it. But be under no illusions.of how bad/brilliant they are.

Having owned a TVR - as with a boat there are 2 great days of TVR ownership the day you get it and then the day you sell it - the second is better than the first.

Don't they use the same engine as the Chimera?

I always wanted a TVR until i built numerous other kit cars and realised that the TVR essential shared the same basis. They're a nice car and well priced, but they're only really a 2nd/3rd car at best. I wouldn't want to run one every day.

A friends got a Chimera 500, which to be fair felt really quick, but he claimed the RS6 was the quicker of 2, eventually we managed to get them side by side, rolling from 60-100 there equally matched, but after that the 6 pulls away really quick, especially when he put his into 5th at about 120 and the 6 is still in 4th.

Last year i went to the Tvr party in the park at Chatsworth house, plenty turned out, could be a good place to go if your looking for a well looked after one.

How longs it been since you had the crash in yours coz its been a while? well you know what the 6 is like so don`t have to explain that. But it depends what you want, why not buy a 6 and TVR problem solved.
