I had a ram proof cantilevered sliding steel remote controlled video surveillance barrier installed two years ago to stop precisely this kind of opportunistic thievery.

Spooky. One of the engineers here was telling us yesterday how his daughter had her back nicked wednesday night while helping another girl who had collapsed in the toilet of a nightclub. That was in Cardiff though.

isn't there some complaints procedure you can ask about ?
I would think just calling the station and asking who you need to complain to might gee them up a bit.

Sorry mate,

- I'd write to the chief constable asking him for his comments and also tell him you're considering writing to your MP and to the press.

That should get their attention.
