I use the old...."as many fingers "hooked" into the grill and just pull technique" if that makes sense!! lol..

Seriously just get your fingers into the grilles and pull...the plastic is quite flexible so dont worry about breaking anything.

To replace them you need to clip them around the foglight first then push the other side in...ensuring the clips snap into place...

Me being quite anal about cleaning my car it gives me an excuse to wash the grilles, treat them..and also wash the paintwork around the grilles you cant normally clean... :?

Sad i know!!!!

Was that an Audi warranty? As a lot of warranties wont cover leaks

^^ Okay, that's a great tip. I'll add that to the "Keeping your RS4 in tip top condition" thread and credit you with the tip (if you don't mind).

To supplement RS4414's excellent advice, here is a pic of the nearside grille, you can see the 3 tabs which you need to hook your finger around and release as RS4414 stated. I found it best to the inner first with my right hand index finger, then keep the pressure on pulling grille away from car and undo the next 2 tabs then pivot away from the foglight and pull towards the middle of the car to release.

Thanks for your concern :) realised that was in pic too late. A B6 S4 was responsible for doing that, scraped a layer of skin off fitting a big battery in the scuttle at the middle of windscreen base, there's not much room and battery very heavy. Glad mines in the boot!
I feel stupid having done it doing that, a poxy plastic grille is no match!

nice one for posting up pics.

FYI all ETKA lists these grilles at a very reasonable (for Audi) £16 each approx.

Was thinking worth keeping in a pair as spares incase of stray stone damage - cheaper than replacing a rad !

I can't see a stone ever hitting the grille as most of it is air ? Price is interesting as saw a set for about 100 on eBay !
