Dave - do you happen to know much about this kit in practice?PetrolDave wrote:http://www.kufatec.de/shop/product_info ... 2379700913DuncS3 wrote:any links to the aux in kits? I have VCDS
cheers!
Like, does it come with keys to remove RNS-E headunit and I assume once head unit is removed, its plug and play with this cable (plug into back of RNS unit, code with VCDS and done)?
cheers
My niggles are generic Audi I think. The most annoying one being not beign able to cancel the dash warning lights. Particualrly when you have more than one on, and they cycle between them eg, low washer fluid, low fuel.
On previous cars, I have been able to acknowledge them, (so they dissapear temporarily) and they then re-appear when you turn the ignition off as a reminder.

It needs a bigger washer bottle as i only manage around a week with the poor weather as those headlamps washers seem to go o for an age!!

No keys, just the RNS-E connector, the cable and the Audi Aux In socket. It's plug and play if you don't have anything else in the AV socket.DuncS3 wrote:Dave - do you happen to know much about this kit in practice?

So you need the keys, and to make the hole to fit the Aux In socket - on the A4/S4/RS4 the easiest place is in the centre console next to the handbrake.
As you say, you also need VCDS to change the RNS-E coding - from 0xxxx1x to 0xxxx5x see http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.ph ... 28RNS-E%29
