Does the C5 have a "you've left your lights on warning&

Post by paddybrenn » Wed Dec 22, 2010 8:56 pm

As per title, I'm wondering whether the car has an audible noise when you leave your headlights on? I'm sure it did, but it doesn't work now if it did, so just wanted to check with others to start the investigation off.
And if it does, is there a switch or something that I've accidentally pressed to turn it back on!?
Cheers all.

It deffo has one - there have been a few times I'd have been screwed without it! Not sure about mute options for it though.

Mine does, and the alarm sounds if I remove the ignition key while the lights are still on, or even if a parking light is left on.

Mine doesn't eather. Wish they would just be out automatically with the key out of the ignition and the car locked, so i could leave the switch on all the time. My previous cars were all like that so now quite regularly I either have to get back into the car to turn them off, or notice that Im driving without lights in the dark.

May be the warning sound (presumably a relay on the relay panel) has died. Would have thought it would be linked to the door pin switch and if your interior lights still come on then i doubt its the pin switch
