I've always relied on my eyeballs too

But I still use a Tom Tom for long journeys down south and overseas and they are great for spotting fixed cameras in dodgy positions.....

Recently got done for 36 in a 30 - on a dual carriageway coming out of a 40 zone by a man in a van....worst of all it was in my Smart 600cc!!

There was a close up of my face and he got me at 750mtrs away - would one of those kits work at that distance and give me time to slow down, not sure?

Went back to see where it was and i was 10 mtrs into the 30 zone through a set of lights........got me hook line and sinker

I use the Road Angel Pro (few years old now). Keep it regularly updated. Has front and rear laser detector, how good it actually is, I don't know.
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar

I use a Pogo Alert, and it saved me a few times, especially in unfamiliar surroundings. Shame they have not invented anything yet which can warn you of unmarked cars....

Un marked cars some tell tale signs

Never in metallic
Very small aerial on rear panel next to boot
Always very clean
Sometimes have child sunblind on rear window behind driver
They like to sit in amongst a few cars, not on their own
2 very small square blue lights behind radiator grille
Sometimes 2 rear view mirrors
All police cars have the extra toughened windscreen glass fitted which, when it's bright weather, shows a multitude of colours.

They are just a few i have seen used, i'm sure other forces will use different tactics/disguises which i'm sure we'd all be interested to hear about
Mint Optic Pack saloon in Daytona Grey (Now sold)
B7 RS4 in Sprint Blue (Gone to a very good new home)
Evo V1 (wish i'd kept)
Numerous M3s

Is there a list anywhere of what makes/models are used by particular police forces so we can keep an eye out for those cars when in the area?
