Prices for Audi extended warranty

That's about what I paid before Christmas, but they seem to have shot up a bit in the new year insurance increases [img]images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

Just called Guildford Audi.

One year warranty extension (for year 5) on an S4 which already has (year 4) extended warranty and is less than four years old and 100,000 miles costs £ 859 inc VAT.

Happy with that as it includes roadside assistance in UK and Europe. Plus, when I did a few web searches I noticed that the same for a Jaguar X type costs £ 765 [img]images/graemlins/roflmao.gif[/img]

So what did my dealer quote me for ?

DaveT - I was quoted the same prices as you when I called Audi warranty at VAG headquarter. I got fed up with the Audi dealers all giving me different prices or not returning my calls.

I reckon Guildford Audi are quoting last year's prices but I'll give them a call and go with them if they still quoting those figures. As long as they are selling the legitimate Audi approved warranty and not some third party warranty.

they aren't quoting last years prices, as I renewed mine in december and the prices have gone up since then, as I said above.
It is also a genuine Audi Waaranty, as I have now received my audi credit card thing with the policy details & contact number.

My S4 is 5 years old in May. Guildford Audi quoted £1080 for named component cover and £1343 for all component cover.

Are there any cheaper reputable warranties available ?

Sorry Stan, don't know of any better/cheaper options.

One point though, if your car is 5 years old in may, you will be taking out warranty for year 6, so it is to be expected this will be more than the figures quoted above
for years 4 and 5.

I still maintain what I said before chaps.

Unless I am very much mistaken, the cover after five year old is seriously reduced on the Audi warranty to only £1k per claim, or at least that's what my warranty book says.

It's one of the reasons I'm selling the S4, as I can't warranty it any more. [img]images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img]
