Renewal time

Post by DuncS3 » Wed Feb 04, 2004 12:41 pm

My insurance renewal came through from Greenlight today, £1149 - up approx £200 on last year.

Now I can get insured for £830 with Elephant with mods declared (33 years old, 5 years no claims, clean license)

Should be a no brainer - except:

Greenlight cover your mods like for like
They provide fully comprehensice track day cover for £65 a pop

I did 5 track days last year and that would of cost me circa £1000 through someone like CCC for one day insurance...Track cover is important to me and its nigh impossible to get it fully comp, but £200 hike

decisions, decisions

no, like for like is pretty hard to come by.

I have over 4K worth of mods on my car, which arent covered by the mainstream insurers.

Hard one Dunc.
Elephant came up trumps for me at less than £800 inclusive.
Track days will not happen for me this year with all the other cash sapping activites so the cover for that was not important to me.
Did you ask why Greenlight have hiked up the prices?

I called them, told them about other quotes I had, they went away, came back and said they couldnt move on the price...

That's good news. Our Audis are with them through Frizzells and the quotes have always been very competitive with good cover. + they gave us a good price to add a second car on to one of our policies.
