So hard to price a car of that spec, unprecedented I'd say!...
What would it cost to get a standard 6 to that spec? Say 15k for the car plus between a third and a half of what it would cost to mod... What does that come out at?

Based on that then, anywhere between £30k - £37.5k for the right buyer?RS6_Dave wrote:![]()

Sounds like a huge amount of money for a C5 but it's not a normal C5 is it really!?
I'm sure 'bookfather' will be along shortly to tell you it's about 15-20k...

I think the big issue is the difference between what it SHOULD be worth (based on what you've spent) and what someone will actually be PREPARED to pay for it. In my experience you can never expect to recoup more than 30% of what you spent on mods. With that in mind:
Average price for a 70k mile RS6 is £14K + 30% of what you spent on mods (£15K)
Total = £29k max.
Good luck, amazing car mate.

C6 RS6 Plus with a few sensible mods...
Basic cars worth about 13-14k.
As for the mods, its a well known fact that you very rarely recoup any costs of modding.
Perhaps a slight premium but nowhere near of what has been spent.
If using the 1/3 mod return formula, that would give you an asking price of around 29k.
Usually you are far better off in demodding the car if possible and selling the bits seperately.... But that may not be possible on this one

My personal view would be in the region of say 25-30k??
If you are not in a hurry then I'm convinced that the right buyer will pay 30k, but you may get a fair few 'test pilots' along the way with this one!
If you don't mind me asking, why are you selling the car so soon after spending all that money on mods?
Probably worth doing some research in "Modifiers" mags (and forums) - sorry, don't know the names etc as it's not my bag....
Key is to target an audience that would actually value such a bespoke vehicle. Also think about "What's it for?" - tracking, drag, etc - and look for specialist press/sites for that audience.
Virtually certain that it's not an Autotrader ad car that's for certain!
Good luck!
Dave
