Should I let Audi put 5w30 507.00 oil in?

It is most defiantly 5w 40w, Went to the dealer a few week ago told him what I wanted and the first thing he said to me was... You must have an RS6 sir!!!

He said 5w 30w were for their other models!!!!

I'd go with whatever Grizz or Doug recommend, i guess they are too busy to comment.

I don't want to be one of them by putting just any A-brand fully synthetic oil in. Of which there were plenty of excellent ones to chose from in the 5w40 range back in the day when Audi was deciding which oil was best for the RS6. So why specify a PD engine oil unless the engine needed the extra protection?

Just picked up some oil from TPS they gave me 5/30 longlife gold I said "are you sure that's right" so the guy rang the local Audi dealer and they said 5/40 fully synthetic platinum which is what I came away with.

Master tec at my local Audi dealer used Quantum Platinum 5W-40 full synthetic engine oil
Now : XFR Jag 5.0 Supercharged

Used to have : C5 Daytona Avant , silver leather , carbon inserts ; RNSE, TV in motion, Bluetooth , well filled SD card slots ; PSS9's ; Hotchkiss ARB's ; Miltek cat back res ; Wagner intercoolers ; Phaeton brake ducts ; forge DV's ;

Forgot to say TPS are doing 20 litres Quantum Platinum 5W-40 full synthetic engine oil for £44.50 plus vat, special offer for a few days.

What's TPS? That's a great price - 20l would normally be about £100.

If you go in they will serve you and give you a good deal but if you know someone in the trade you get better discount.
