Reverse Lights

Post by bobbys4 » Thu Nov 18, 2010 11:51 pm

Hi,

Was pulled over today by undercover police to alert me that my reverse lights seem to be on when i'm driving. It seems to be that they go on when i get into 2nd gear above 10mph or so. Does anyone have any experience of this? I presume its got to be the reverse switch on the gearbox thats given up the ghost?

Does anyone know roughly where this is before i go looking tomorrow?

Cheers

Not sure of the answer to your question, but in the short term you could always pull the reversing light bulbs out of the holders to reduce the risk of getting pulled if you need to use the car - reversing lights aren't required in law. Showing white light to the rear of the car when driving is what they're not keen on.
