IMHO, they're all going to do a great job (yes, even Camberley), so it's a win whoever you go for. Call all of them and tell your story, ask for a leadtime on a box (Grizz is usually holding) and when they can fit you in.
No matter where you go, there you are.

It might be a good juncture to get a few 'extra bits' done while its in the shop. I double checked AA cover, and the car has to be at least a 1/4 mile from home, for them to recover it. Incidentally its to any destination I nominate :) Thanks for the suggestions and advice chaps.

It depends on your policy matey. read up then call up. if you have to be more than a mile from home, get it a mile from home and call em saying you have broken down. If not, tell em it would not drive on start up this morning get it to wherever you choose- if your policy allows.
Paid 99 quid for mine. if grizz had recovered it it would have been £1 per mile. (which is cheap compared to others) then the train and hotel £130.00 train £100 marriot Liverpool. So, my 99 bucks was well spent. Fully transferable- now on my golf. Play the game mate is my advice.
Did they reimburse the train and hotel???

Grizz. He's the only one who returns my calls :) Always the best customer service in my short RS6 career. Always helpful and goes the extra mile. He's going back to work after collecting his kids just to hand over my car from the AA. Current ETA 18:45.

You cannot go wrong with Grizz... get him to put some C6 brakes on while it's there. OR at the very least, the phaeton brake duct upgrade, it'd be rude not to really.

Sweet - that's the joy of car trouble with the RS6 - somehow it always seems to come back better than ever!

Your tale of woe has inspired me to finally get that Warranty Direct cover. I feel young and carefree again!

Sorry to hear this mate, not exactly the best time of year either. I hope you get it sorted and that the warranty covers it.
