where do you buy your tires from?

Post by kay » Sun Nov 14, 2010 2:43 pm

I'm wanting 255s standard tire, secret santas or 2nd choice F1s , at the cheapest price possible whether online or visit to shop. I'm in west yorkshire. I know of black circles and mytires.co.UK. Any other places? If others have researched for the best price recently then please share your findings. Thank-you in advance.

I have only ever used TSR Tyres in the South.

I use these guys as a comparison. http://www.elitedirect.com/Tyres/Tyres- ... tabase+%3E

I used Camskill last time for my Santas, but P_G posted a few days ago saying Tyremen in Hull now deliver them for the best price

First choice: Micheldever Tyres at.... Micheldever(!), just off the M3 south of Basingstoke.
Second choice: Denmead Tyres at... Denmead(!), speak to Darren.

If you are using black circles, always ring and ask for a better price. They often oblige :)

Started off with mytyres, then Camskill; Tyremen were best for Secret Santas and Pneus online for F1's when I looked a couple of weeks ago.

Was not impressed with mytyres.co.uk, took order and then wanted loads of identification documentation. Ended up buying from Micheldever and saved £80 as well.

I'd vote Tyremen or Micheldever, would steer well clear of mytyres.

Thanks guys. Gives me a choice of places to try now for best price. I've only used blackcircles in past on my P1 ; tires got delivered to the nearest garage on their list where they got fitted. Straightforward. But on most occasions, not always the best price though. PG has done research recently, I think tyremen will be the place to beat. I will keep u guys posted as no doubt somebody else on this forum will be needing tires soon too.
