Anyone any problems with their leds?

The RS6 is not my daily but I was driving it the other day and has the sidelights on.

When I got home I just thought I was see what they looked like but they were not working.

No warning lights on the dash and I don't have VAGCOM.

Not had time to tweak yet but any ideas or have it happened to anyone else?

Thanks

One of mine blew really fast a couple of weeks, replaced and both are now fine for several months!

Same here. UltraLEDs and one failed after two weeks and only noticed on visual check. Still haven't got round to replacing it.

Another LED sidelight has gone out this morning.... these look great but just aren't reliable enough. I’m considering going back to the standard ones. Anyone else having issues, these are meant to carry a lifetime guarantee, ne?

I've had 1 replaced already. ultra LED's sorted a replacement very quickly once I'd sent it back. No dash warning, spotted it as I was parking one day.

If they keep going, I'll just switch back to the originals that I kept hold of.

Hi all, think its down to how far you push them into the lamp holder. Don't seat the right in, leave a little gap. I have not seated my latest ones right in the holder, as per the waring on the website and the seem to have lasted a lot longer....

I'll check them later and they will have blown!

They're out of stock when I last checked a week ago. Is there anyone else that sells them (without bringing up DIS codes)?

Good to know about not pushing them in too far, cheers Steve.

There are other options for 501 bulbs and many of them talk of the need for additional resistors to prevent DIS errors and failures.

I'm thinking of trying this, as its bloody expensive and so it must be great...

I've tried the tower type 501 from UltraLEDs (ordered by accident) and these wouldn't fit through the hole in the light cluster. I haven't tried the 501s listed in the link above, give it ago and share the wealth Welky.
