Look what I found...
RE: Look what I found...
Was looking at this today on PH, great car there and deal too. There seems to be some real RS2 butes for sale at the moment. But if I had the space I would buy one tomorrow, esp this one. There was one for 40k with 23k miles on the clock!.
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar
RE: Look what I found...
40K - thats a laugh.
I know of one that went with 17k miles (1 owner) for about 19k about 6 years ago - cant imagine they have more than doubled in price since then...

Actually, my numbers aren't right so ignore that, but this is the car I was referring to, and the price was then around 22k, two years ago:

I know this car as the owner originally bought it from the same guy I bought my UR from

RS2 prices
Hi All. I bought that RS2 approx two years ago, it was for sale at 22k but I ended up paying a lot less than that for it. My friend in Doncaster went to view it on my behalf and I bought it on his good recommendation. I never got a chance to drive it as it was parked at my friends house in Doncaster. Another guy wanted to buy it from me. At the start I refused but he persisted for a number of weeks and with his very good offer I sold it to him. Lets just say slightly less than the 22k. at the time he was not for selling it any time soon.
I phoned him a few months later to check how he was geting on with the car only to be told he sold it again due to personal reasons, and again for less than 22k. In hindsight I should never have sold it and told him so as it was genuinely never my intention to sell it as I'm now currently looking for another one and would love to buy it back but not at 40k!

RE: RS2 prices
The original owner of that had a nice double garage with the MB UR and the RS2 in it together - he had owned them both from new - it was quite a find, nice guy who was selling up and moving to the coast iirc. The UR was only 70k miles at the time too - i've still got that.
I guess the RS is shifting thru different owners by the sound of it, which doesnt help resale value ultimately but still it has a good history.
nice little story
