Aluminium window trims removal?
Aluminium window trims removal?
Hi, im looking to replace the aluminium window trims on the front and rear doors for some new ones as they look a right mess with the stain marks on them. Was wondering if anyone could tell me how easy they are to remove please?
Noticed theres a few people getting them wrapped, wasnt sure how good the overall finish would look. Anyone got any pictures of them done?
Any help would be great, thanks

I'd also be interested in knowing about this.
Mine looks OK cosmetically, but the nearside rear quarter trim is misaligned with the door trim. There's no adjustment, so it needs removing and replacing. But how to do it?
Anyone know?

Who did that for you Audi?sonny wrote:Yea rear quarter is. I just had all mine replaced with the Optic pack. All came out OK, will have to ask the best method for removing the trim, also if done correctly the trim will not break and can be reused.

Yes mate, full Optics added, including the rear strip colour coded except satin exhaust tips as I have the Milltek. Also had wheels refurbed and re-done in Titanium including mirrors. No expense spared on the RSklauster wrote:Who did that for you Audi?sonny wrote:Yea rear quarter is. I just had all mine replaced with the Optic pack. Regarding the removal of the window trim, you need to remove the door trim then remove the complete window frame and then take out the plastic rivets, takes about a competent tech an hour a piece.
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar
