i have just got a Origin b2 and included in the package was fitting by a company called Toad, does anyone know if they are compitent or have a good reputation.

IIRC my mate worked for them about 8-9 years ago so they've been around for a while. It's like anything though John, one time you get the best service going, next time there's a different guy/chef/whatever and you get a poor job.

I had a toad alarm on the alfa.. it worked a treat. Well worth the (rather expensive) price. In 7 years I only had one problem which was covered by their lifetime warrenty & no false alarms etc - oh & it stopped the thieving barstewards from knicking my car several times - drilling the locks out for god's sake!

They used to be known as Sextons, one of the largest national fitting companies in the UK. When I used to work for Unicar in Leeds they were our largest competitor in the insurance replacement market.
On the whole they do have a good reputation, but the company is only as good as its employees. As with most companies these can be both good and bad. If you are worried, just watch them as they do the install taking note of how they remove the panels (making sure they don't just go at them like a bull at a gate!)
