Got mine today with silver piping and they look decent, Will vac the car tomorrow and put them in but a bit of me says I wish I had got the ones with matching gunmetal edgeing. May get another 'summer' set.

I just got my set today - with the anthracite(i think) edging to match the colour of the mats. Probably the best aftermarket ones I have seen for £50.
To clarify, the edging on your mats is actually our dark grey overlocked stitch. Members can view this finish by seeing the pic Doug has been kind enough to post (above)

We dont do an edging that we call 'gunmetal'. Gunmetal refers to the carpet colour that the vast majority of forum members have ordered (see Dougs pic again)

To see the trims we do, in both solid and stitched finishes, see:
http://www.mycarmats.co.uk/acatalog/Aud ... _Mats.html

We offer black, dark grey (grey 1), mid grey (grey 2) and light grey/silver (grey 3). The majority of forum members have ordered light grey/silver (grey 3). Dougs pics above show our dark grey (grey 1).

We've also had a few orders for mats with bright red or dark red trim. FYI, we also do a royal blue trim which would pair nicely with a blue RS4 (think its called Sprint Blue), although may be too bright for some tastes.

I ordered mine on Tuesday evening and they got delivered to my work by Thursday afternoon.

Although I'm not certain its the Gunmetal as I had specced, looks more like black to me :?
I'll get comparative photos of standard mats vs the new mats up this afternoon for opinions.

At first glance, they don't look too out of place but it was about 6pm last night I tried them and very little natural light.

Standard Audi mat on the left, gunmetal on the right.

Thet are different in colour as I have fitted mine today but with hindsight unless you get mats that are made from the same manufacturer as the OEM ones they are the closest match I have seen and are good quality.

Generally one working day to manufacture, then delivery within 24/48 hours. 2-3 days overall, depending on what time of day you order them
Although I'm not certain its the Gunmetal as I had specced, looks more like black to me
The mats you have photographed are definitely gunmetal. The shade is very close to black, but if you put the mats next to a black mat, you'd notice the difference immediately

The OEM ones are £380 per set apparently. All car mat manufacturers buy their carpets from different places, so the match will never be absolutely 100% perfect. But for £50-90 per set compared to £380.......

To date, we have had 46 orders for RS4 and RS6 mats from members of this forum, business which is very much appreciated. If anyone has any particular requests, i.e different logos, trim colours etc, please call or email us.

Two things:

We also do S3, S4, S-Line and TT logos

Your RS246 discount applies to any mats you buy. They do not have to be for your RS4. If you need a set for your wife, husband, friend etc, the 15% RS246 discount still applies

Just lob in some small thoughts from an OCD RS4 owner

The gunmetal being slightly darker works better with the backing of the Audi sourced RS4 logo making the backing more 'invisible' - a lighter shade mat and the backing may stand out a little more.

Also find that straight grey mats highlight blackscuff marks as bad as beige  and cleaning/removal often ends up with a colour difference that looks just as bad!

The contrast piping is best selcted if your going with a heel pad as the pad itself is trimmed in a leatherette material and that looks much better in a light colour, no idea why!
Also if you have ally trim the light grey stitching tones really nicely with it.

Saying all that with the black gloss trim Doug's combo looks good!

Just to clarify my opinion, I'm in no way complaining, just making it clear for those who haven't yet bought theirs.

The RS4 logo contrasting too much with a lighter mat also made me decide against returning them!

Notably darker than OEM but works well and the turnaround time was excellent.

Hi All

I've received quite a lot of emails and PM's from members, wanting to clarify colours available. There seems to have been some confusion between gunmetal and anthracite carpets, so thought I'd better clear that up.

See the pics below. This should give you an idea of the difference between gunmetal and black. Our gunmetal carpet is a close match with Audi's charcoal carpet, and most of the positive comments in this forum have come from members who bought mats made from gunmetal carpet.

Our anthracite carpet has also been mentioned a few times here. Our anthracite carpet is not quite as thick as our gunmetal and black carpets (it is from our velour range, not super velour, so costs slightly less). It is a popular choice for commercial vehicles and was not really intended for the premium market.

That said, an RS246.com member bought a set for his RS6 in anthracite carpet, and he posted some pics in the forum. You can see them here:

http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... c&start=60

You can also see pics of a set of mats in super velour gunmetal, with a black trim, on the same link above.
