All, I've just had to replace the discs & pads on my 98 S4 avant.. ouch, all told it came to just under £600 inc changing the break fluid. If only my insurance company didn't want to sting me for modding my car!

Ouch!..that's steep...I got brakes (pads and discs) and a 60k service for 500-600 ish I think...

I was quoted £350 for discs and pads (fitted) at a dealer yesterday. Shame they are [img]images/graemlins/dung.gif[/img] though

I'm happy enough with mine, got some pedal feel back & they actually stop the car - now that's a change! [img]images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

i need some brakes soon to.. i'm gonna get some dba grooved discs and green stuff pads for the front and that'll set me back about £350.. just have to find somewhere cheap to fit them! [img]images/graemlins/thumbs.gif[/img]

I asked about RS4 ones recently and they are roughly a £1,000 for discs front and back......

Plus the pads and fitting one assumes.
