leather seat repair ?!

Post by smyffie » Mon Sep 27, 2010 2:14 pm

Bucking Follox.

Due to total incompetency on my own part while going on a 5 meter journey!! (to put the S4 cab into the garage) I have managed to cause significant damage to the leather seat due to the screwdriver that I had inadvertently left in my back pocket. Naturally I am now absoloutely seething with myself but am now wondering whether the panels are repairable, or do I need to replace the whole (hole lol!!) thing and if so any ideas how much Mr Audi are likely to want for the pleasure.

Hoping someone can help!

I'd look into an independent upholsterer. They'd definitely be cheaper than a main dealer, and probably do a better job.

I only know they exist because I've seen them used on Wheeler Dealers!

The dealer will want to change the whole seat cover if it is available, assume the postion before saying how much will that cost...

A bloke at work tore the leather in his Saab with a fridge (moron!) and a place near me, repaired it for £60 and you can't see any trace of it, and coming from me that's saying something, because I'm really picky!!

They flattened it back out and shrunk it back into shape, glued it, recoloured that area and retextured it.

Bound to be somewhere near you that can do they same
