Bramley are notorious for asking ridiculous prices - their catchment area means that they sometimes get away woth this.
The drivers seat looks to have done much more miles than the 25K on the clock - it looks in worse condition than mine (I have done 65K since new)
The tyres look a bit suspect to me - if they are the original SP8000 then I would not be happy driving around on tyres that are 15 years old.

Is there any chance this could be the infamous car stolen and rebadged as a standard 80 Avant, before being recovered and restored to 'original' condition by a dealer?

I don't think I've seen any other cars with such low mileage.
