Sprint Blue with refurbed alloys (+ a good detailing) +pics

Post by matthew.lewis2 » Thu Sep 09, 2010 5:41 pm

I thought I would share these few photographs with the forum.

I decided to have the wheels refurbished (due to them dulling slightly due to the atmospheric conditions and in effect being 'sand blasted' with the daily driving in dusty conditions.

I wanted the same colour as the original wheels just with a little extra 'shine'. The added shine was achieved by introducing some metallics into the paint, sanding well, and lacquering as usual.

I love the finish of the wheels, they really twinkle at night and shine perfectly in the sunshine.

At the same time the RS4 was treated to a paint correction, paint sealant, leather conditioner and engine bay dressing.

Big thanks to Sara Auto Care, Dubai.

Very nice.

To my eyes all the RS4 colours look great, especially when they're this clean!

Great wheel mod.

Thanks, I appreciate the comments. I wasn't looking for the wheels to appear any different to the layman, just a subtle change to lift their already perfect colour.

The owner of a C5 RS6 clapped eyes on my car (before I arrived to collect it) and apparently loved the wheels.

The car is going back next week because they forgot to finish the 'inside' of the wheels. I mean to say, they have finished them to the same standard as standard inside, but I had requested that the insides get the same mirror finish as the front face (perfectionist i'm afraid).
