In**rance!

Post by jcf » Fri Jan 23, 2004 12:36 pm

Guys,

I just got my renewal for the S3, £1500??

I am 27 with no claims and 7 years no claims.

Have the AA just lost the plot or what?

So, any advice on sympathetic insrurance companies to try for a more reasonable amount?

Cheers

John

I've never found the AA to be competitive. The cheapest/best company for you will depend on many personal factors. Norwich Union Direct have always been good value for my Audis.

Admiral/Elephant.
I'm not too much older than you and have similar NCB. £580 with Elephant.

Ditch the AA.

I have had 2 S3's from an age of 23 and never paid that much.

Highly spec's and modded.

Direct line, tesco, priviledge

or finally barclaycard direct.

all the above were between £1006 and £1060 for me.

25, 6yrs nc, no accidents or points. Modded.

Went with Barclaycard Direct at £1050 as excess was only £100 and they dont run their own repair shops like DL/Tesco/Priv. (all same group)

Norwich Union Direct

i give up with these, especially with their call centre somewhere in India, and a very thin understanding of basic english.

I know what you mean, my friend is having a great deal of trouble with his claim due to people onthe other end of the phone being in bangalor! It's not racist, it's just the fact that they can't fully appreciate the situation your in.

Ironically when you insure with Norwich Union through a broker you get an english based call centre. Just shows you pay yer money and makes yer choice.
