A found farewell from me!!

Post by rAudiguy » Thu Sep 02, 2010 10:52 am

Hi Guys,

Not posted on here for a good few months as I have been very busy with other things.

I'm sad to say after near on 3 amazing years I have sold my car. The only good news is that she has gone to a very good home and fello forum member NilsRS4.

I feel more than happy that Nils will give her a good home and will maybe add a few more finishing touches to what I feel is one of the best examples on the road. Not that I've left him too much to do.......

I would also like to say a big thank you to all the guys I have meet on here through the car. in particular those of you I have met in person a various meets and Rolling road days. Andyuk911, MarcusRS4, Pippyrips, SR71, Scaghead, P_G, Caldy, Dom81, Pad125, Contigo and Mikeyquottro to name a few......

I have enjoyed every minute of owning the car and have no idea what I will be replacing it with at this stage. But watch this space I guess!

I'm sure I will pop back now and then to have a look at things so it's not goodbye from me, just goodbye to my car!! she will be missed.......

Shame to hear that Jimbo, think I can say a big thank you from all concerned for organising the RR days down at Paramount. Be sorry to see you go but like you said at least your outstanding example of a car is still on the forum. Excellent work. Good luck with your new ride and let us know what you opt for

He has indeed and yes she went as she was...... I couldn't strip it all back for Audi to just stick it on a forecourt, although that did nearly happen at one point you're right.

LOL!

Yep I did, there was no way i could let Jim strip her down and undo all that hard work and then have a stealer slap a silly price tag whilst it sat on their forecourt for months, there was only one solution... bring her home to me!

Good luck with whatever new motor you choose mate, your RS4 is a great car with some excellent mods.

Thanks also for help when I was looking into upgrades.

Delighted to hear that it's gone to a good home - based on your posts a while ago, I'd assumed that it had gone back to standard just to sell it

Like others have said, let us know what you get next, and maybe we can have another Paramount meet and debate / criticise / laugh at your choice!

Thanks for loads of helpful posts, organising the RR days, and adding a bit of healthy rivalry. I never did work out whether yours or Rob's won the day...

does it still have the wrap on it ...

That was the first wrap I'd seen in the flesh and I remember commenting to you how rare a white RS 4 saloon was ...

Fooled me!
