5th Gear just put a GT-R up against the new Evo FQ400, uninvolving indeed

Nearly at 12 months now guys & 7k miles. Small update for you.

Not even a hiccup so far from the GTR despite some very heavy abuse. Needs 2 x rear tyres which are not too expensive from the likes of camskill and will need a second, (more expensive :( ) service as soon as I get home this month. Two services in a year regardless of the mileage done takes the piss - got to admit that........ Nobles Nissan Edinburgh faultless though. Brand new 370z convertible as loan car last time (without asking). A4 2.0 diesel was best I ever got from Audi only after having to ask for a loan car and even when mine was in for several days. (no loan car available - twice)

Faultless in the snow too - and we had loads this year again. Even with the OEM dunlop semi-slicks (which are more slick than semi!). Top gear don't need a Claas they need a GTR with a front splitter 6 inches off the ground to shift snow!!

Clio stuck in our lane on OEM cs3's. GTR - not even a hesitation. I did tell her it was good idea to get another 4wd!

Running costs are deffo higher than the RS4 - oh well! It's robbery whatever you drive nowadays......
Also attracts the wrong kind of attention from the rozzers :-(

Interior seems hard wearing enough and practicality remains ok - if not ideal in comparison to the saloon B7 shape. The missus' clio is perfectly adequate for anything else that won't fit.

One thing I have noticed which is downright typical! Less RS4's spotted in Inverness now I've sold mine!

Two more years before warranty is dead then it'll be off to litchfield with it for 600bhp+ :bigblink:

For those who reckoned I'd miss the 'involvement' - categorically no..

Still turn around when I see a good RS4 though - still a fine looking machine - Well, avant not so much.... :biggrin3:

Nice one., glad you stopped by and gave us a update, I bet you can wait to get the power upgrade. Sees the GTR is one of the only real natural upgrades from the B7 RS4. :FIREdevil:

Enjoyed the read of this thread and the comparison.

Maybe buy one at some point, see a few at my mates unit as he details them and they appear decent quality..... Unlike my plastic 350z was! (great car tho)

I've yet to have a spin in one and I'll perhaps keep it that way or I'll be off to Nissan for a deal.
