Colour choice

Post by KeithD » Mon Aug 16, 2010 10:02 am

Right chaps

Following on from my other thread narrowed it down to two cars , one gray one red not much in the millage both o6 cars red one better spec and lower millage but is Demo plus two owner and the grea a two private owner car.

Gray would be my first choice colour , but the red one is spot on spec wise . whats are peoples thoughts on red saloons , i have only seen pic's at he moment , cars can look very different in the metal so whatare peoples viwes on these two colours in the saloon .

Grey is more discreet but with the choice you have I would go for the one that has the spec, mileage and deal you want.

I tried the same apporach as you and only wanted to look at Mugello Blue and Daytona Grey cars but ended up with Sprint Blue! No regrets.

I always thought I would want a grey one as my second choice but after seeing one in the flesh, I think they are a little boring. Go for red.

The red one has a sunroof and the ss+ thats what is swinging it for me at the moment , if its the one i go for i think the wheels will have to be painted black or dark gray , will have to have a look on here to see if anyone else has done that .

Black was my first choice but after seeing the car sat i dont think i will find one in a condition i want for the money and i dont think i can put up with keeping it clean !

One other thing can you retrofit blutooth in to these cars neither has phone kits in them.

Keith - Go for condition and spec - I ended up with a Misano red 07 RS4 as it was easily the best one I'd looked at and I really like the colour once I'd seen it in person. :D

If the red one has SS+ and sunroof go for it. Bluetooth module can be retrofitted yes.

Yes, a lot of people do this, can fit the original Audi kit so mic in the light, dial via RNS-E, is a really nice system carries all your contacts, call list etc. over is even a fairly simple install if used to pulling trim etc. but will need coding up afterwards via VCDS, there are a few pros on here who offer a full service such as Craigyb.

Never thought i would have gone for a red car either until i actually saw it in the flesh. Always previously had sliver or gun metal. Love it.
You sure it doesnt have bluetooth? alot of owners have removed the cradle leaving no evidence of it but it is still there.

To be fair these cars look good in any colour. Its only when your at a meet and see them all lined up y can get a feel for the right colour.
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar
