£42,000-£44,000 Anymore and I think its too expensive for what it is.

Be nice to think that existing owners can do a straight swap then
Current RS4 retailed at £46,500 back in 2000.
Most (well mine anyway) were purchased at the just under £50,000 mark, some (Thorneys for example) were considerably more.
The short answer to the question is it isnt worth a thing till we see the spec, and the vehicle will always be worth that bit extra for exclusivity.

Well, Conti
As you may know, all this decisions are very very directed to achieved the desired sucess. There´s a lot of study and work behind it, and it can´t be changed in the middle of the process. It´s not that easy
Quattro is creating the torquier and faster car of the category and the only one to have a V8 with twin turbos. By the way, It´s a new category. (I wonder how M will do an inline 6 with so much power)
As for the dates, it all depends what country we are talking about. Europe will probably get the car first. The information, from one insider, tells me october/november 2005. The explanation is that they want to hold as much as possible, in order to give attention and sales figures to the new S4.
Price is something that can be changed a lot, but certainly will be between the S4 and the RS 6.
As for the turbos, you can be sure they will be there!
The milleage will be better than the RS 6, but don´t know if we will have the FSI tech, but probably yes.
So for now, let´s continue to take care of our machines
