Never mind anyone else, but Petrol-Dave will no doubt tell us if his system was a "perfectly good system". And he is an Engineer.
BTW, what is the source of your data -Johan at AoA? Your source on total numbers built was completely out.
out of the 200 cars in the UK, only 3 failed the pressure test...
sometimes I toss stuff out intentionally just to see if anyone is actually reading...I seem to do more often when it comes to you

I knew what the exact numbers were

do you really think people care what you post?
you have not a single helpful post...not a one
but always being negative and insidious seems to be your norm...
you've never went out of your way to help a soul...
it's called 'delusions of grandeur' and self-importance...
we have something in common!
we're both mentally ill

If the standard of debate on here was as high as it used to be I would, but I don't see the point nowadays - it seems that most of the active posters on here are not interested in the engineering any more.

It would be interesting to know some more data about both cars:
- delivery date.
- miles done.
- type of driving, town, motorway/freeway, etc.
- fuel RON used.
- service history.
- repairs outside of normal servicing.
One in Australia, one in Scotland - so no common geography or climate.
I'm watching developments before I form an opinion, but I'm intrigued.

'intrigue' is the perfect word in this case lol
I plan on calling both dealers...all they can do is hang up, lol
I've already written Audi and they have responded
I will do the same for the car in Scotland...first to determine if it exists

*sigh* - mine is knocking/clunking again
Last time out, two replaced shocks and a recharged system; that was back in January.

Do let us know your findings, and probably best to discuss this issue on the right thread - this is DRC. Thank you.

So how bad was your DRC Dave? Were they wet glossy or the dried on residue you get and the pressure was low?
It appears that 'failure' needs to be identified. IIRC for a franchise to claim from Audi UK both elements need to be identifiable, not one or the other. Although one causes the other the pressure has to be at a level which is requisite to replacement. That said DRC will still work (just about) at 12 Bar so although a 'failure' it is not catastrophic.

Just to get this right Arthur; are you saying that you have been advised that >200 RS4's have been in for recall in the US and 2 or less have had a DRC failure?
And at the same time of the 200 cars quoted by Sims from one dealer which I assume is Camberley Audi in the UK you have been advised that only 3 were classified as pressure test failures?

DRC?
what
thanks for letting us know all of engines will eventually fail, ie, scored due to deposits
they all have deposits that rob 50-70 HO
and the engine is intially over-rated by 50 HP or so
and also that close to 100% of the DRC's have failed
you are a ray of sunshine
