Mine is a fair bit louder than stock in non sport mode but im running milltek cats aswell which lets more noise through,in non sport mode its perfect for round town or wanting to have a conversation with passengers,it reduces the boom at 2k rpm nicely aswell, sport mode with valves open is simply awesome

I'd heard that:

Milltek non-res valved in normal mode is slightly louder than stock exhaust in sport mode.

Milltek non-res valved in Sport mode = earthquake.

I want one...

I fancy one of these. Anyone have a rough idea of price for a valved non res cat back.

i just ordered a cat back res with the valves..as i need to be quiet sometimes!!...am i wasting my money?? as i really wanted the non res version..but a friend of mine who went tthe whole hog..with non res and the cats complains of a drone noise at low revs....
any one on here got a cat back res version who could let me know how much difference i will hear?...i could allways just try it and if i dont like it..i can have the resonated bit removed?..any advice would be appreciated..

The resonators do come in separate sections and IIRC Milltek used to swap them FOC for non res section if you bought from them direct and you didn't like one of t'other.

Res valved valves closed would be like OEM sport and valves open a bit louder (OEM sport with windows open) but same effect as an H or X pipe.

Non res valved is probably best. Example. I had a non res cat back put on my S4 which didn't have the option of valves which was good but changing to race cats and downpipes increased the noise and drone by over double I would say.

Plus with non res valved in town you close the valves to silence whatever resonance drone you would get and still have civilised driving.
