New tyres needed...
Re: New tyres needed...
Just had all replaced (P6000) for £99 K&P Tyres, Chessington Road Ewell. Reason for this choice is I can have a spare which can be used on both sides of the car. Not the most Gucci tyres out there but they dont seem to tram on mine, give good grip/wear and are good in snow, which cant be said for the cut slicks.

OK, so it may not have been a good idea, but has it damaged my diff(s). How would I know?

What were the tyre sizes ?
If the same size but different brands then it's no problem.
Re: New tyres needed...
I doubt very much that it would've caused any long term damage - like I said before, it's more of a safety thing. Best we not forget that these cars are capable of 170+mph (when chipped and de-restricted) and the tyres are the only part of the car that make contact with the road - you should put the best tyres you can afford on the car !

Re: New tyres needed...
Any tyre approved by Audi AG for this car will be fine mate. Best to keep them all the same make.I was quoted £146 per corner if you want to pay that fine, but the same tyres cost me £99 search around and you will find a sensible price. If they are directional just be aware you can only use the spare on one side of the vehicle, unless it is used as an emergency get you home at reduced speed. Not much fun if your 600 miles from home in the Alps and all the shops are closed.
