The summons has come through. It states the obvious but the guy using the gun states and I quote:
At 14:50hrs on that day I saw a red Audi RS4, index ... approach me from the direction of Swindon and formed an opinion as to its speed, which was in excess of the road speed of 70mph. I was unable to gather a speed reading as the vehicle was masked by other vehicles as it approached me.
I sighted the red dot on the vehicle as it passed me and because of the checks which were carried out before I was satisfied the laser beam would strike the target vehicle. I pressed the trigger and obtained a speed reading that confirmed my opinion. The speed displayed was 107mph at a distance of 95.8m. The vehicle was in view throughout the check and line of sight was unobstructed as it approached me.
......
Now is it me being biased or is this somewhat contradictory?
In addition they say they followed ACPO guidlines, which they did not - asking me to stop on the dual carriageway, asking me to cross the dual carriageway, them parking on the dual carriageway etc, etc.
They state that I said nothing after being cautioned - I think this is because I was not cautioned.
What are peoples honest opinions?
If I am banned them I'll be jumping into a 4x4...
