At long, long, long, long Last

Post by sidzz » Fri Jul 16, 2010 9:40 pm

For 6 long years, ever since returning to the Uk, I've had a secret passion, no.. lusting, for the RS4 B5 2.7. almost getting one five years ago when buying a business scuppered those plans and left me pottering around in a 1.1 clio albeit, for a mere 6 months until it met a wall one dark night (another story).
18 months ban later I was ready prepared to have the B4 sat on my drive for the merry reunion with my license, but insurance quotes of 3-4k made me hold off until I could proudly say to the insurance man (sorry 'person' pc and all that...) 'NO' when asked about any claims or convictions in the last 5 years.
At this point May 2010 looked a very very long way away and B5's were getting higher in mileage. Not to worry... B7's are nice
During this wait a move within 100m of an Audi garage (not intentional) has left me looking at the forecourt every morning during the school run until 2 weeks ago an Avant... with rather large Arches.... and a little badge announcing RS4 appeared.
'I don't need it ' I told myself... and promptly phoned up for a test drive. 2 more test drives and a week later... deposit paid and collect on monday next week.
2 questions: does anyone want to buy and aged leaking ford focus?, and 2: how long will it take to remove this this huge grin from my face? :D
