sorry to be a pain, but i really cant afford the hispec package at the moment due to a big move with work, and my crap MPG, i dont really use my car that hard for that long anyway, nor do i take it on the track. i think i should put a set of DBA discs on with a decent set of pads, (and i could paint my callipers red to! ) which discs would you recomend? the cross drilled ones, or the groved ones? and what about green stuff pads? i can get them for £80 a pair, is that good? i wish i could get the hispec but its just come at the wrong time!! god dam it!!! Either are going to be an improvement over stock and the EBC Greens are an 'OK' pad...given a choice I'd go for the grooved disc.

Sfourman, if you're going the DBA route, go with the slotted discs and get yourself and set of pagid fast road pads (not blues) with some SRF fluid. I can vouch for this setup - it is a big improvement over std. I had the greenstuff fitted to my car with std discs and found that they took some time to warm up, which suprised me somewhat, as I though they would work from std.

Do a search and find my post listing the garage I use - he will be able to get the pads and fluid for you.

Any problems, pm me.

p.s. where the feck do you get S4 pads for £80? The cheapest I could find them was for £120 - are we talking abou the 4 pads per caliper model ?

The fluid will boil and your pedal will go through the floor whilst you say 'Ooooh [censored]!'
Get the SRF, best on the market.
