Strange Engine?

Post by R33 » Thu Jul 15, 2010 11:49 am

I was trawling eBay and noticed this S4 being broken for parts, but look at the pic of the engine, what's that on top of it?

Has is been supercharged?

I saw it aswell the other day. It looks like someone had a go at building a supercharger kit and did a piss poor job. Top pulley and metal box intake with long runners underneath point to a charger. But a cone filter in the bay of one of these cars wreaks of amatuer

Yeah they were pretty much my thoughts. Interesting none the less, would like to have a look at it.

Beware....

"This auction is for a 10 AMP FUSE
Fully Tested In Working Order."

So the picture of an S/C S4 engine is, to say the least, misleading.

Oh sure people always do this on eBay, I wasn't planning on buying it, I just thought it was a curious engine.

I asked if he wanted to sell me the rocker covers over a week ago as I suspect the engine is blown. Still no reply

I think I have seen this picture on Google a while ago so the seller might of just lifted it from there.

Forgot to update this. You may remember the strange looking inlet manifold?

Found this back along http://www.motodyne.com/frames/audi_s4-v8.html
